FUTURE REUNIONS

To date, the Class of 1982 has had four reunions: 5 th, 10 th, 20 th, and 25 th. Although we anticipated the 25 th Anniversary as being our “BIGGEST” event, attendance was the lowest yet.

We propose having the next reunion on our 40 th Anniversary, in 2022. If you have a better suggestion, or would be willing to coordinate a reunion, please let us know.

Where would you like to have the next reunion?

Go to the “Classmates Blog” section and give us your opinion. During the 25 th reunion, it seemed that most classmates weren’t that interested in dancing. Most wanted to mingle, talk and just get to know what everyone’s been up to.

Some classmates suggested taking a Lake Sebago or Lake Winnipesauke cruise. Another suggestion was to give everyone 15 years notice and take a Caribbean Cruise. Dave has been on over 10 cruises and that could be a blast!

So, to help you do the math, if a cruise costs $4,000 per couple in 2022 … you’ll have to save $266 per year or $5.00 per week. Shall we start saving?

Let us know what you think! We’re open to your suggestions!

HELP NEEDED

LOCATE CLASSMATES: Most everyone has e-mail. In the “News” section of the website is a list of classmates for whom we don’t have “e-Mail” or “postal” addresses. If anyone can help us obtain our classmates contact info—especially e-Mail addresses—it would be a great help.

Some classmates may ask, “why do you need my e-Mail address?” For the simple reason that—as events happen, especially ones that affect our class, we would like to send and informational e-Mail to everyone in the class. In July 2007, those classmates who had e-mails on record received information about a serious accident Alan Nichols had, his medical status in intensive care, etc. God forbid, but if we hear of a death in our class, we could certainly inform everyone quickly and show our class support and proper respect.

Secondly, the class never had a budget. For past reunions, a few of us have had to eat up some expenses, especially invitation & letter mailings, etc. Having e-Mail addresses on file would certainly save us money.

Lastly, the webmaster has the ability to privatize your personal information on the website. If you’re reluctant to give us your e-Mail address, we can ensure it remains private. As such, we can still maintain your information, but no one else will have access to it. e-Mails will be sent using the “BCC” section.

Thank you!
